Time for Reflection - Accountability
Accountability is the quality or state of being accountable; especially an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for one's actions.
A definition can easily describe a value. But being able to live and show these values is where the brilliance of it all lies.
Accountability may well be one of the most underestimated values and is so often confused with the value of responsibility. The main difference is that responsibility can be shared but accountability cannot.
Accountability is the ability to say sorry when needed, and right the wrongs. The ability to be honest. The ability to go the extra mile and be proud of your actions.
Being accountable for ones actions, you accept the responsibility thereof, and its no surprise that people who is accountable for their lives, are also the ones showing pride for it and are the ones receiving praise for their work.
Are you accountable for your life and your actions?
